With over 20 years’ experience we can provide the peace of mind you are after.

With numerous ways of protecting your building and its occupants, Choosing the right one can feel daunting. Here at CFSS we can help you chose the one that best fits your requirements.

Addressable Fire Alarms

Addressable systems tend to suite the larger premises, although can still find a place within the smaller buildings, depending on the purpose. The advantage of having an addressable system within your building is having location specific text locations on every one of your devices. This means that if a device goes into fire, the systems will tell you exactly which device tripped, enabling you to locate the potential fire quickly.

There are many manufactures to choose from, here at CFSS we can help ensure that the correct one is used for the application. There are also two main types of addressable systems, 'closed and open', Closed protocol systems are systems where only approved companies can fully support that product. This does not mean that only they can work on these systems, you are still able to employ any competent Fire Alarm company to service these, but if any major changes are required on site, that company may need to obtain support on the programming of those changes. Open protocol systems are systems where any competent Fire Alarm company can fully support your system. These systems are available from most trade suppliers and are used in many applications and is the most preferred choice. In either option, it is still highly advisable to choose a company that is competent and experienced enough to support your requirements.

Conventional Fire Alarms

Conventional systems tend to suite the smaller premises. The advantage of having an conventional system within your building is mainly cost. Conventional systems cost a lot less than addressable, but they still have a big place within the market. Locations are determined by zonal areas which cannot be any greater than 2000m2. When a fire signal is received the devices will inform the panel which in turn will highlight the effected zone. Your zone

description and zone chart will show you the area to which the potential fire is. The activated device will be lit red, alerting you to the effected device. Again, even though these systems are available from most trade suppliers, always ensure it is designed and installed by a competent and experienced person.

INTRUDER ALARMS

Intruder systems are now graded, these range mainly between grades 2 and 3 with most installers. Grade 1 is normally items you can buy yourself from places like B&Q, grade 4 covers more specialised building, such as banks. One of the main differences between grade 2 and 3 are the devices. Grade 3 devices have extra protection against masking, which is a way intruders prep your system for them to break in later, when the premises is empty. Your grade 3 system will alert you that one of your sensors has been covered (Masked) ensuring that all your devices are ready to pick up intruders if the worse happens.

We at CFSS can help you choose the correct system to best suite your requirements. As well as install and maintain them to all current British Standards. We use a wide range of manufactures, so will always be able to find you the best one for your premises.

ACCESS CONTROL

There are two main types of applications that can be used, Standalone and Networked. Standalone systems normally suite premises like small offices or warehouses, with networked used for the larger sites, such as office blocks with multiple occupancy, larger schools / colleges, or residential buildings.

In addition to this there is now temperature screening terminals on the market. These give the added security of checking everyone’s temperature upon entry to a premises. This can be linked into the access to your access control to give your premises the added extra safety of being covid secure.

CCTV

CCTV has come a long way, and now mainly will consist of IP cameras rather than analogue. Even though you can still get hold of them, you will find that in most applications a IP Networked Camera installation will be more cost effective. If you’re looking for a new CCTV installation or just an upgrade to your existing system, we can offer a wide range of solutions to help, this includes hybrid systems which can incorporate your old cameras onto a new NVR recorder to work alongside your new IP cameras.
